About Amset IT Solutions Ltd.

Amset IT Solutions Ltd offers high quality IT services specialising in providing services based around Microsoft Exchange Server, including installation of new Exchange servers, maintenance of existing servers and upgrades to the latest version. (more information)

We can also help small businesses get the most out of their IT investment by providing systems and network administration to companies who cannot afford or justify a full time IT person.
Alternatively, we can provide a backup support person, remotely controlling your servers to resolve problems and generally providing a second or third line support for your internal IT people.

As part of the standby support service we can provide you with a relay server for your Exchange server as well as web hosting services - saving additional outlay. These services are supplied through our dedicated server.

If you are an IT consultancy, then we can help you provide the best support and service to your customers by allowing you to tap the knowledge and skills of our lead engineer.

All our staff are passionate about IT, as for many it is not just a job but a genuine interest. This means that they will know their way around computer and their software and can get the very best out of it.
This also means that they can come in to your business and very quickly get a grasp of the problems and suggest many areas where improvements can be made - often by optimising what you already have.

In April 2005, one of our senior engineers, Simon Butler, was awarded MVP status from Microsoft in the Exchange Server field for his contribution to the community providing support on Exchange. The main location for his contributions is at Experts Exchange, where his username is "sembee". More about Simon.

If you are considering investing in new IT infrastructure, then we can advise you on what is best for your business and why. We can help you source it and then implement it, managing the migration of data and users as required.

We can offer an all-round service that you can rely on.

Where did the name "Amset" come from?

A frequently asked question is why we use the name "Amset".

Many years ago, when the founder of the company first started out in the IT industry, all the computers in his first job were named after Egyptian gods. His machine was called "Amset". The name has stuck and has been used for various email addresses and web sites over the years until "Amset IT Solutions Ltd." was created as a registered company.

Company Names

Amset IT Solutions Ltd. is our main company name and we use variations of Amset, Amset-IT and Amset IT Solutions for our domain names (all pointing at this web site) in the "co.uk" and ".com" top level domains.

The company also uses the name "Amset Internet Solutions" (visit site) for our internal internet based services. This section uses the ".net" variations of our usual domain names as well as the Amset Internet and Amset Internet Solutions versions.

Finally we use "Amset.info" for our community web site (visit site), where we have lots of our technical knowledge available to our clients and the wider internet community. This site now has over 120 pages of information, all written by our engineers.
